Sunnydaze Decor DIY
Growing up, there were a handful of things I couldn’t understand that were so enthralling for my dear mama. Plant care and DIY were two of those things, though I entertained her enthusiasm. I’d tag along to the local nurseries, and I’d go on the “garden tour” whenever I visited.
When I rented my very own place in West Hollywood in the mid-aughts, I bought my very first plant…and I killed it. Turned out my thumb was not as green as my mother’s. Cue the womp womp. After a couple of motherly visits, a few pointers from a seasoned plant mama, and many years, I began to get the hang of things. My thumb went from a very drab pea green to a vibrant tropical lime.
Today, I’m a bonafide enthusiastic plant mama myself. I don’t believe in such a thing as “too many plants.” Last year, before heading to Europe for three months, I made sure to secure plant care from a fellow plant lover/mama weeks in advance. I get now what my dear mama was so enthralled with. I am just as passionate about these living, breathing, oxygen-giving autotrophic beauties full of glorious chlorophyll. And I’m thrilled to have partnered with Sunnydaze Decor for their Spring Planter Palooza. #sponsored

My affiliation with these folks couldn’t have come at a better time since we recently moved into a wonderful new condo in Southern California. I’m in the midst of serious unpacking, organizing, and, my favorite, decorating. So, when this gorgeous Acacia wood planter box gifted by Sunnydayze Decor showed up on my doorstep, I was super excited!
Marked for indoor/outdoor use, I figured the Sunnydaze Indoor/Outdoor Rectangular Wood Planter Box – 24.25″ Acacia Wood Planter with Removable Liner in Anthracite Stain would facilitate a fabulous indoor herb garden. With all south-facing windows, my rosemary, basil, sage, and cilantro garden is going to be very happy, and I’m going to love having fresh herbs for cooking! It’s a win-win!
Don’t despair about the lack of drainage holes, either! There’s a simple hack for that. As you can see here, I’ve lined the plastic liner with crushed cans. This allows some breathing room for water to drain instead of sitting there rotting any precious roots. Quite frankly, I appreciate the fact that I don’t need to find a drainage tray for this heavy-duty quality planter. #SunnydazePlantersLevanta
Sunnydaze Decor offers a vast array of premium indoor and outdoor items designed to enhance relaxation and comfort. From indoor fountains and fire pits to hammocks and beyond, they elevate living spaces into havens of tranquility and style. And who doesn’t love upgrading their home to sanctuary status? Plus, you know I love a good indoor hammock – à la Wow Wagon.
I’ll be sure to add photo updates as to how my herb garden is getting along! Until then, happy gardening. In the meantime, enjoy 10% off sitewide now until the end of 2024!

February 22, 2024 at 12:48 PMRight?! I thought I was going to have to drill holes and then find a good drainage tray. And yes, the planter is awesome! Can’t wait until my herbs start growing – I’ll be sure to share a photo! Thank you for reading, Elle. xo, Linds
