It’s National Drink Wine Day, one of my favorite holidays. It’s no secret that I’m a lover of all things vino and I thought I’d share a short Top Ten list of a few of my favorite things to pair with what I deem “The Beverage of the Gods.” This list is in no particular order and whether you prefer white or red, earthy or sweet, dry or acidic, twist top or cork, there’s something below for everyone. Ready, Set, Drink!

  1. Dark chocolate
  2. A great book
  3. A bubble bath
  4. A board game
  5. A dinner prepared specifically to your choice in varietal (The California Wine Club has some great ideas for recipes here)
  6. Someone to toast and laugh with *tink tink*
  7. Charcuterie board
  8. A great movie or television show, preferably comedy (i.e. Schitt’s Creek)
  9. The great outdoors (i.e. summit of a hike or a picnic with that special someone)
  10. More Wine!
