Fireworks and Wine – Fourth of July Weekend

Have you given any thought to what your Fourth of July weekend will look like this year? If you’re like most of us, we haven’t properly celebrated Independence Day since 2019. With nearly half of the American population vaccinated against Covid-19, it’s safe to say (no pun intended) that there will be a lot more celebrating going on this year. I, for one, plan on using the three-day weekend for some R&R and, of course, fireworks and wine. Who am I kidding? We’ll most likely be working on the Wow Wagon, but guaranteed that fireworks and wine will be involved.

PINOT NOIR FOR YOUR Fourth of July WEEKEND

I recently gifted a bottle of Domaine Rütz 2018 Sonoma Cuvée pinot noir to my Auntie from the California Wine Club. She absolutely loved it and is on a mission to find a retailer near her (in Kansas City) that she can get this wine. I don’t think she’s going to have much luck.

It’s one of the things I love most about my premier series membership with California Wine Club. They focus on small family-owned wineries that consumers, otherwise, wouldn’t have heard of. You won’t find any Yellowtail wine here. I told my auntie I’d be happy to send her some more of the pinot noir.

Anyone who knows me well knows I love fireworks, constellations, the moon, sunsets, and pretty much anything having to do with the sky. Just last night, my love and I climbed atop the Wow Wagon at night with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from Ancient Peaks. We stargazed and daydreamed about our nomadic future, patting ourselves on the backs for the day’s progress. Perhaps next year, we’ll be lounging on our rooftop deck, admiring the illegal fireworks from a remote area and a glass of red in hand!

FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND PHOTO OPS

It’s recently been brought to my attention that there are dozens of photos of me holding a glass of wine. Jokingly, I posted on Instagram and Facebook recently saying, “If only I had a dollar for every photo of me holding a glass of wine.” I’d certainly have a stack of one-dollar bills that I’d probably spend on my next bottle of wine from California Wine Club! Either way, I’ll be stocking up for the upcoming Fourth of July weekend. And, I’ll be sure to keep posting photos of my signature look: a la Linds, glass of wine in hand. Cheers to a fabulous and safe Fourth of July weekend!
